Short post tonight for my turmeric dressing! For those of you who don’t know, turmeric has a long history of being used as a medicine in Chinese and Indian practices and is used to treat a wide variety of conditions, including indigestion, inflammation, and chest pain. Turmeric even has anti-inflammatory effects, and there are new studies underway investigating turmeric’s potential as a treatment for Alzheimers.
Turmeric has a very distinct, slightly bitter taste, so it’s definitely not for everyone! I found it to be a great way to mix up my salad (and tastebuds), and I love its bright color too ❤ I threw this salad together with leftovers from my fridge; steamed tofu and broccoli, as well as roasted beets. Feel free to get creative and use this dressing on salads, pastas, crackers, or sandwiches 🙂
